Home-Start NEA offers the chance to attend some of our smaller family groups.
Your children get the chance to play, learn and have fun with other children and with different books and toys.
You get the chance to meet and talk to other parents – and many parents discover they are going through the same kinds of experiences and feel less alone.
Many of the staff and volunteers running Home-Start groups have also been home-visiting volunteers. Our groups are a great place for parents to pick up advice, tips and help from Home-Start and other parents.

“I enjoy having somewhere to go and get out of the house and meeting other parents who may be struggling like me.”
“I look forward to it every week knowing that I will always have someone to talk to and be able to get support from when I need it. It's given me more support and help. I felt very lonely and isolated before."
“I like it’s a small group and everyone’s supportive.”
“Helped to meet other parents in a safe, non-judgmental environment, with the added presence of staff and volunteers for support. It has built my confidence on how I am doing – I’d like longer or more sessions!”
