Lunch With Santa 2021 was a huge success. Santa and his elf came along to share in the fun!
A special thanks to the Country Park Inn in Mintlaw for hosting lunch, to Magic Jono for entertaining our guests with his magic tricks and to all the staff and volunteers who made this event such a success.
Santa and the staff of Home-Start NEA are looking forward to lunch in November 2022.

Alanna Buchan, chair of the Aberdeen University Students' Association Raising and Giving team, raised a huge £797 for Home-Start NEA in January. Alanna ran every day in January 2021, clocking up a distance of 68.91km! And what's even better.... she ran dressed as a Granny! Alanna wanted to support us by raising funds and running 2.2km everyday in the month of her 22nd birthday.
Discussing her nomination with us, Alanna "was keen to support something in her own area of Aberdeenshire" and chose our charity because she's "passionate about kids having the best start in life and think support for struggling families is really important as well."
From all of the team at Home-Start NEA, thank you Granny Alanna for supporting and fundraising for local families!
We believe that the best possible start in life for a child begins at home with their family. A nurturing, loving, stable family and home environment strongly determines a child’s future life chances. Children whose parents are struggling to cope can miss out on vital support for their future.
Home-Start depends heavily on donations to support the work we do with parents and children.
Do you have a keen interest in raising awareness and crucial funding to support local families?
Becoming a fundraising volunteer for Home-Start would help us to make a difference for more families. A few hours each month can support our fundraising committee to develop new ideas to ensure that no child’s future is limited.

The Kiltwalk 2021 was a huge success with staff, volunteers, trustees and their families joining us to raise funds and awareness.
Thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation, the amount raised was topped up by 50%.
